OH, THIS IS GOOD.

(You, after reading this guide)

Have you been to Old Town Alexandria a few times, and find yourself repeating the same routine over and over?

Have you lived in DC for over a year, and STILL haven't made it to the city across the river?

Are you looking for a city with Charleston's charm, but more accessible from the North East region?

Do you feel overwhelmed scrolling through recommendations for hours?

Do you live in greater Alexandria, and somehow haven't made your way down to the Potomac River?

I'VE BEEN THERE, TOO.

When navigating a new city, there's a lot to know.

What is parking like? Is there public transit?

Where are the public bathrooms? What restaurants are kid-friendly?

What can a rainy-day plan look like? Is it dog friendly? Do I need a reservation?

No matter your questions, you'll find them here. I've spent the last 365+ days exploring the ins and outs of the historic district (and there's STILL more to uncover!).

Pull from this to create your dream day trip, weekend getaway, or spend a week in the summer here to soak in the
Chesapeake Bay lifestyle.

HERE'S WHAT OTHERE ARE SAYING

I first visited Old Town Alexandria ahead of the Marine Corps Marathon in 2023 and fell more in love with the city with every cobblestone I strolled along. Between the charming brick buildings, waterfront multi-use trail, nearly endless dining options, and unique activities, it's a city that's easy to love. No matter the season, there's something to find so charming about the city.

Whether it's the blooming hydrangeas, sun glittering on the Potomac, fall foliage and over-the-top Halloween decor, or snow capped rooftops, there's a reason to visit in every season. Not to mention, something new is always coming to the city - so you'll have something new to experience, no matter how many times you find yourself strolling the King Street Mile.

WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?

It's time to visit like a local.
